Welcome to Operamus, we will aim to mount one major production each year.

Our first production will be NOYES FLUDDE by Benjamin Britten

Professional singers and instrumentalists will join children from the local area and students in Britten's imaginative setting of the Chester Miracle play.

The Music Director is Richard Laing. Birmingham based, Richard is Music Director of Leicester Bach Choir and the Midlands Chorale.

His operatic work includes:-

• Adrian Cruft's "Dr Syn" for Kent Opera.
  

• "La Traviata" and "La Bohème" for Dartington Festival Opera.
  

He has premiered many new works and presented papers at several major international conferences on opera and film in Australia and America.

The Producer is Michael Barry.

He has extensive directing experience including:-

• Premieres of work by Michael Murpurgo
  

• "La Voix Humaine" in Dijon
  

• Blitzkids at the Crescent Theatre Birmingham.
  

He is Director of Theatre Studies at Birmingham Conservatoire and has recently directed the premiere of Dr Dee by Robin Grant.

Performance dates are:-

March 17th at 7.30 p.m.

March 18th at 7.30 p.m.

March 19th at 3.00 p.m.

All performances will take place at

St Francis Church Bournville (next to Cadbury World)
